Kathryn M. Wilhelm

Kathryn M. Wilhelm, 77, Rockford, passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Presence Cor Marie. Born October, 13, 1938 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Morris and Helen (Bruemmer) Clark. She was a member of New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church. Kathryn graduated in 1956 from Beloit Memorial High School and received her RN from Swedish American School of Nursing and her BSN from Rockford University. Throughout her career, she practiced hospital, clinical, home health care nursing and taught CNA classes for Swedish American Hospital until her retirement in 2001. She married the love of her life, John on June 6, 1959. Lovingly, they raised their two children and were the best grandparents to three grandchildren. Kathryn loved to travel. Among numerous family cross country driving vacations, she and John visited Niagara Falls, Las Vegas, Disney World, Europe and Israel. She also had a passion for craft fairs at which she and John looked for treasures throughout the Midwest. She was devoted to her husband and family and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include husband, John; son, Gary (Diane) Wilhelm; Daughter, Karyn (Mike) Theisen, grandchildren Nate and Becca Theisen and Taylor Martin, Predeceased by parents.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, October 17, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Threre will be a visitation from 2-4 pm Sunday and from 10 am – 11am Monday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL 61108. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to New Life Evangelical Lutheran Church in her memory.
