Kathleen "Kay" Anderson

Kathleen “Kay” Anderson, 79, passed away Saturday May 13, 2017 peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born March 4, 1938, first of four children born to Virgil and Alice Conboy. Lifelong Rockford resident, Graduated Muldoon High School, worked for Illinois Bell Telephone, and the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Department. In the summer of 1983, Kay retired to marry Bert Anderson to begin her most loved task of being Bert’s partner and the blending two families into one. Kay was well known for her sassy wit and making many lifelong friends. Survivors include Husband of 34 years, Bert, Children, Andy(Cindy)Limberg, Michele(Kim)Nelson, Nadeen Leapold, Bob(Lori)Limberg, Chip(Ann)Limberg, Don(Teri)Limberg, Jeff(Sheri)Anderson, Vickie(Greg)Gittleson Sue(Ken)Rheingans, Judy Curry, Richard(Joy)Anderson, 33 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Avenue. Visitation will be on Friday from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. and will continue on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. Burial in Willwood Burial Park.
