Kathleen "Kathy" M. Meagher

Kathleen Mary Meagher, 70, Rockford passed away on Tuesday, July 12th 2022, in her home. She was born on January 12th, 1952, in Evanston, Illinois to Constance (Meagher) Rothenberger and James Meagher. Survived by her three siblings: Susan Throndsen, Nancy (Brad) Beard and Bill (Tammy) Rothenberger, and several nieces and nephews: Sarah (Alex) Bruso and William (Emily) Throndsen, Ryan Clay, Jennifer (Tony) DeLegge and Sean Zingrich, Jeffrey, Josh and Amber Rothenberger. Seven great nieces and nephews, good friend Lisa Newton and their two cats: Meeko and Miss Kitty. She was predeceased by her Father, James Meagher, mother, Constance (Meagher) Rothenberger, brother, Kevin Meagher and brother in law, Steve Throndsen.

Kathy worked various jobs in Rockford throughout the years, with her most recent job as a manager for PCI from 1984 to 2014. Throughout the years Kathy enjoyed being the world’s best aunt, best babysitter and best driving instructor to her nieces and nephews. She loved listening to Joan Jet and other Rock n’ Roll music. Kathy was well known for her wisdom, sense of humor, overwhelming generosity and she was very devoted to her family.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, July 16th, 2022, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd, Rockford, Il 61108. A visitation will take place prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Mulford chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to be established at a later date.
