Kathleen "Kathy" Frank

Kathleen “Kathy” Frank, 70, of Rockford, passed away on August 8, 2021 at Swedish American Hospital. She was born on June 9, 1951, the daughter of Charles and Betty Hayes.

Kathy married the love of her life, Roger Frank on April 28, 1973 at Flora Community Church.
Kathy worked for the Rockford School District as a librarian, administrative assistant to the Superintendent, and then in the HR department, for around 20 years. She attended St. Rita’s Catholic Church, and was a member of Retired Secretaries of Rockford School Board. Kathy enjoyed gardening, traveling, reading, and spending time with her golden doodle Daisy. She was in many book clubs and was also an avid Mahjong player. Above all she loved spending time with her husband, children and grandkids.

Kathy will be dearly missed by her husband, Roger; children, Josh (Eryn) Frank of Belvidere, Jacob (Nina) Frank of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Olivia, Noah, Hazel; brothers, John Dulek and Charles (Kathy) Hayes and their son Patrick Hayes.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Betty Hayes.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Dr., Rockford, IL. Burial will follow at Flora Cemetery.
