Katherine J McWilliams

Katherine J. McWilliams, “Kay,” 88, passed away in her residing town of Rockford, Illinois on Friday, September 27, 2024. She was born on November 21, 1935, daughter to Walter and Anna (Miller) Burris (predeceased). Kay married the love of her life, Robert,“Bob” McWilliams in Kentucky on May 12, 1951. They were happily married until 2013 when Bob passed away. She lived most of her married life in McHenry, Belvidere and Rockford. She enjoyed over 20 years of driving school bus for Belvidere School District 100 and later for Keen Age Center. She loved her family and looked forward to the family trips that she and Bob would take in their motor home.

She will be missed by her children Bonnie Jewell, Jim (Linda), Bob (Sandy Hanes), Wayne (Jan), and Brian (Becky); her 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren; her brother Ralph Burris and sister JoAnne Hurtubise and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her husband Robert; her son-in-law Harlan Jewell; brother Tom Norton and sister Julia Paskus.

A visitation will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Funeral Service, 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S.
