Katherine "Katie" Fiorini

Katherine “Katie” Fiorini, 81, of Rockford passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at the Villa of PA Peterson. Katie was a lifelong resident Rockford, born on April 24, 1936, the daughter of Joseph “Malo” and Adele (Bedin) Vanso. Katie was a devoted Catholic regularly attending mass at St. Bernadette while able. Her family and friends were an important part of her daily life. The Fiorini Family wishes to thank Heartland Hospice and Katie’s nurse, Becky.
Survived by her sons, Nick (Jennifer) Fiorini and James (Holly) Fiorini; grandchildren, Michael, Hanna, Alexander, Nathan and Adrianna; niece, Debbie (Jeff) Weicht; cousins, Angelica (Tom) Jones and Mary Jane Bedin. Predeceased by her parents, husband, Alex, daughter, Adele, brother, John and sister-in-law, Margaret Vanso.
Funeral mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2017 at St. Bernadette. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. in the parish center. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
