Karl F. Biggs

Karl F. Biggs, 72 of Rockford, IL passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 in Barrington, IL. Karl was born December 3, 1948 in Rockford, IL the son to Vernon and Catherine (Munro) Biggs. He married Janet Valaisis on May 19, 1969. Karl worked as an insurance agent for many years and was affiliated with various companies. In his younger years Karl was an avid cyclist, competing across the United States and setting many records unbroken to this day. He later enjoyed motorcycles. He was an avid reader of western and mystery novels. He also enjoyed playing poker and cribbage with friends. Most of all Karl loved the time he spent with his beloved granddaughters. Karl will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his daughters, Kimberly (Timothy) Biggs and Melissa (Mark) Cornwell; granddaughters, Cecilia and Kennedy Cornwell. Predeceased by his parents and wife, Janet.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd, Rockford, IL 61108. Memorial Service will follow at 5:30 at the funeral home. Cremation rites entrusted with Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory.
