Karen L. Harne, 64
Rockford Karen L. Harne, 64 of Rockford died at 6:35 a.m. on Thursday, January 1, 2009 at home surrounded by her loved ones. Born June 2, 1944 to Ralph and Ida (Frueh) Harne. Karen was an avid bowler, enjoyed fishing,and gambling.She also enjoyed babysitting her nieces andnephews and watching them play sports.Mostimportant to Karen was spending quality time with her family . She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school for 25 years and was a member of church council. Previously employed at Household Finance, Home Federal and currently Northwest Bank.
Survivors include; sisters; Rosemary (Les) Graham of Monroe, WI, Virginia Larson of Machesney Park, and Dorothy (Johnny) Lockett of Rockford, Il; Brother in law Richard (Rosene) Anderson of Rockford, 7 nieces, 5 nephews, numerous great nieces, great nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents, sister Marilyn Anderson, brother Robert Harne, brother-in-law Earl Larson, nephews Timothy Anderson and Angelo Cataneseand nieces Carrie Lockett and Pam Blomquist.
Karen left an imprint of love on so many lives and will be missed greatly by all she touched. Special Thanks to Karens caregivers during her short illness and for Davids dedicated gift of giving.
Services to be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2008 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory (Mulford Chapel) 1860 S. Mulford Road with Rev, Ralph Kuespert and Chaplain Jason Turner officiating. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory (Mulford Chapel) and from 9 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday.
