Justin L. Fudge

Justin L. Fudge, 46, passed away on Monday, June 5, 2023, in his home. He was born April 12, 1977, in Rockford, the son of Jess and Wendy (Thomas) Fudge. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School, class of 1996. Justin worked for Rockford School District #205 as a diesel mechanic for over 15 years. He was a member of the Blackhawk Athletic Club where he played on their softball team. He also played on several other softball teams in both fast pitch and slow pitch leagues. He enjoyed fishing and working on small engines of all types. Justin always had a smile on his face and a great sense of humor. He was generous and caring and would help anyone in need. Above all he loved his sons and enjoyed spending time with them. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Friends and family are encouraged to wear jerseys of their favorite teams. GO RED BIRDS!

Survived by his sons, Justin (Cynthia Nicole) Fudge and Tyler Fudge, both of Clinton, and Aidan Fudge of Winnebago; his significant other, April Marshall of Rockford; his parents, Jess and Wendy Fudge of Rockford; his siblings, Jesse (Tracy) Fudge of Machesney Park, Edward (Lupita) Fudge of Brownsville, TX and Miranda (Drew) Anderson of Rockford; his grandma, Wilma Thomas: his nieces and nephew, Kara, Kirstin, Brayden and Grace; numerous aunts, uncles and all his buddies. Predeceased by Laverne and Delphia Fudge, Jack and Janis Lawrence, Bill Thomas, aunt Nancy, aunt Mary, and furry friend, Ricky Bobby.

Memorial services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Tuesday, June 13, 2023, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. until time of service. There will be a Celebration of Life gathering at the Blackhawk Athletic Club immediately following the services at the funeral home.
