June M. Phillips

June M. Phillips, 82 of Little Rock and formerly of Rockford, the youngest daughter of Norma and Edward Johnson, passed away May 15, 2008. Born June 12, 1925 in Rockford. Graduate of East High School and attended Rockford College. Married her loving husband of 62 years Robert J. Phillips, after he returned from WWII. June was instrumental in putting Robert through college at the University of Illinois. She loved her home, taking care of her family, flowers, dolls, angels and her dogs. Survivors include her husband Robert; daughter, Laura Phillips of Santa Monica, CA and granddaughters, Amira and Amal Gebba of Santa Monica. Preceded in death by her sister, Blanche Johnson and baby brother, Richard. A vigil service was held in Little Rock on Sunday, May 18. Interment and graveside services Friday, May 23, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery, 1011 Auburn St. with Deacon Marty Czerniewski officiating.
