Julie Butitta

Julie Butitta, 88, Rockford, was called home on July 18, 2023, surrounded by her children. She was born May 30, 1935, in Seattle, WA. On March 22, 1952, she married the love of her life, Jim Butitta in Idaho. They were blessed with eight children. Julie had a love for bowling in her earlier years and then in her retirement years her love turned to golf. Together Julie and Jim took to the road in their motorhome, traveling the U.S. discovering new places and making new friends. Most of their retirement years were spent in the Naples, FL home, far away from the winters of Illinois.

Julie is survived by her children, John (Janice) Butitta, Jim (Jody) Butitta, Jeanne (Brad) Vallem, Jodi (Mike) Amans, Jeff (Kerry) Butitta, Jerry Butitta, and Jill (Keith) Anderson; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Jim; her son, Jack; her parents Marie and John Keideth; her brothers-in-law, Sam Butitta, Joe Butitta, Matt Butitta, Tom Guzzo and Russ Verona; her sisters-in-law, Rosalie Guzzo, Mary Ann Verona, Phyliss Butitta, Diane Butitta and Jeanne Butitta;

A visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. on Thursday, July 27, 2023, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 A.M. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Av.
