Rockford- Julia A. Howard, 94, of Rockford passed away Friday, May 13,2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born January 31, 1917, in Rockford to Stanley and Anna (Piecha) Krowczyk. Julia lived all her life in Rockford and on July 5, 1958 she married Wilson "Willie" B. Howard, in Rockford. She was employed as a machinist for over 20 years at National Lock and also worked at St. Anthony's Hospital in the kitchen. She was a member of St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, the Women's League of St. Stanislaus and the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and she liked to crochet and knit and work with her flowers. Survived by her nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and her ever faithful caregiver, Godchild and loving friend, Rhonda Peterson. Predeceased by her parents, husband, 3 brothers, 2 sisters and an infant son, George. The family wishes to thank Passages Hospice for their loving attention and compassionate care, especially Kim and liz. Funeral Mass will be at 11a.m. Wednesday, May 18, at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 201 Buckbee St. , with visitation 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.; Father Peter Sarnicki will officiate.
