Joyce Y. Jacobson

Joyce Yvone Jacobson, 79, passed away at 2:26 pm Thursday, November 17th, 2016 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center surrounded by her husband, son, daughter-in-law, and grandson's. She is survived by her husband, Earl Jacobson, son, Kim Jacobson (Lori), grandson's Chad Jacobson (Gina), Erik Jacobson (Elin Anderson), and Ryan Jacobson, and great grand daughters Demi and Harper Jacobson. She is also survived by her nieces, Cindy Aldy Smith (Bob) of Georgetown, Texas, Paula Aldy Walls of Lawrenceville, Georgia, and nephew Henry Lee Aldy of Houston, Texas. She is also survived by two great nieces, Jennifer Cantrell (Stephen) of Mooreville, Mississippi, and Lacy Cunningham (Buck) of Oxford, Mississippi, and four great nephews, Shea Smith of Georgetown, Texas, Cody Walls of Athens, Georgia, Jason Aldy (LeeAnn) of Raymond, Mississippi, and Charlie Aldy of Hollybluff, Mississippi. She is also survived by three great great nieces, Finley and Lottie Cantrell of Mooreville, Mississippi, and Mattie Cunningham of Oxford, Mississippi. She is also survived by three great great nephews, James Cantrell of Oxford, Mississippi, Braeden Aldy and Landon Aldy of Raymond, Mississippi. She was the beloved and cherished sister to Mildred Maples Aldy, aunt to Linda Sue Lockett, and mother to her and Earl's beloved pug dog, Penney, who have preceded her in death and are there on the other side to welcome her home.


Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send any memorials to the family.
