Kimberly Armato, 78, Rockfordnbsp; died at 12:06 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2007 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Centernbsp; Born December 3, 1928 in Hazelgreen, WI, daughter of Frank and Eulalia Harker Kimberly.nbsp; Graduated from Bishop Muldoon High School in 1946.nbsp;nbsp;nbsp; Married Phil Armato in Rockford at the Cathedral of St. Peter on May 27, 1950.nbsp; She had been employed by WROK Radio, owned Geris Beauty Salons and worked for the Rockford School Board.nbsp; Member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. nbsp; Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Phil; daughters, Carla (John) Koyak, Greensboro, NC, Patte (Bob) Lund and Dana (Joe) Fanara both of Rockford; grandchildren, Matthew, Bradley, and Lauren Koyak, Lena and Van Lund and Raymond, Phillip and Sophia Fanara; great grandson Logan Pratt-Koyak; sister, Bernadine Douglass, Menominee, WI; in-laws, Sam and Marge Armato, Josephine Taylor and Judy Armato; her special granddogs and many special nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her parents, her sister, Helen Gagliano, her brother Jack Kimberly, brothers-in-law, Peter Armato and Felix Armato and sister-in-law, Madelyn Armato. nbsp; Joyce had a deep love for her family and friends.nbsp; She was an integral part of her childrens lives and found joy in sharing the daily activities of her grandchildren.nbsp; Her grandchildren will truly miss her love and unconditional devotion.nbsp;nbsp; She loved singing and music.nbsp; As a young girl, she sang with her sister, Helene Kimberly in the Jack Sweeney orchestra.nbsp; She shared her beautiful voice with others in St. Bernadette Catholic Church Choir and Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church.nbsp; She had an eternal smile and saw only the positive in everyone she met and everything she did.nbsp; She especially loved socializing with her dear friends at the Cloisters and playing with her grandpuppies.nbsp; Her family has much appreciation for the compassionate and loving care that was given to Joyce by the OSF St. Anthony Medical Center NICU nursing staff and the team of physicians. nbsp; Funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in St. Bridget Catholic Churchnbsp; with Msgr. John J. Mitchell officiating. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.nbsp; Visitation from 5-8 p.m. Monday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m.nbsp; A visitation will also be held from 9:30 a.m. until time of the mass at the church on Tuesday.nbsp; Memorials may be made to the family, Condolences may be sent at www.fitzgerald fh.com.
