Joyce Ann Munson

Joyce Ann Munson, 82, Rockford, passed away on April 17, 2023. Born in Rockford on May 14, 1940, daughter to John and Eleanor (Wilson) Arand. Joyce graduated from West High School, class of 1958, and married her high school sweetheart, Harold Munson, on February 7, 1959. Joyce worked at Eagle Foods for over 20 years as a clerk before retirement. The family has fond memories of vacations and camping as a family, and after retirement Joyce and Harold enjoyed many trips up to the lake in the summer and down to Florida during the winters. In her free time, Joyce enjoyed going on day trips, crafting shows, cross stitching, and crocheting.

She will be survived by those who loved her most, her husband of 64 years, Harold; her children Pam Shepherd, Jodi (Jim) Gravunder, and David (Melissa) Munson; her grandchildren Jennifer (Bill), Melissa (Dan), Samantha (Jake), Chelsea, Mitchell (Olivia), Eric, Jake (McKinzie) and Trey (Alanna); numerous great grandchildren; her twin sister Jan (Jim) Quinn and sister in law Lorna Arand; numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother Chuck Arand.
