Joy A. Mendoza

Joy Agnes Mendoza, 19, of Rockford, died unexpectedly on May 9th, 2013. Born March 9th, 1994 the daughter of Florencio Mendoza and Edna Capitulo. Survived by her parents, her brothers Michael and Filbert, her half-brother Peter, her nephews Grim and Sylar, grandparents, aunts Lourdes and Belen of Montreal, Canada, uncles, cousins, and numerous friends. She was a caring and loving person and she always brought a smile to everyones faces. She was an absolutely amazing friend, sister, and daughter. Joy will join her family in the Philippines and will be laid to rest with her beloved sister, Sarah, who preceded her in death on January 1, 2013. Funeral Mass 11 am Monday, May 20, 2013 at St. Rita Catholic Church 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford, Ill 61108 with Fr. Ariel Valencia officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:45 Monday at church
