Josephine "Pina" Rosolia

Josephine "Pina" Rosolia, 82, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020. She was born November 26, 1938 in Marsala, Sicily the daughter to Vito and Maria (Mannira) Angileri. Josephine married the love of her life, Gino Rosolia on July 27, 1957. Josephine was a sweet soul and always put others before herself. Josephine was a longtime member of St. Rita Catholic Church. She enjoyed talking with her friends, cooking and keeping up with everything and everyone on her iPad using Facebook. Most of all, Josephine loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Survived by her children, Cristina (Steve) Hughes, Maria (Peter) LaRosa, Mel Rosolia, Tina (Vince) Cimino, Vito (Fay) Rosolia; grandchildren, Anthony (Kelly), Jessica, Melissa (Bobby), Michael, Angela (Adam), Domenica, Anthony, Gino, Josie, Sofia,; great grandchildren, Eva, Gianni, Aria, and Irie; brothers, Joseph (Sharon) Angileri and Tony Angileri; sister-in-law and good friend, Paulina Rosolia; brother-in-law, Carl Bertolino; dear friends, Virginia Laudicina, Mary Chiarelli and Dorothy Angileri; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, god children and family in Italy. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Gino; sister, Joann Bertolino; brothers-in-law, Giacamo, Giovanni, and Antonino Rosolia; sisters-in-law, Sharon Angileri, Sara Rosolia, and Ida Barraco; Niece Lisa Angileri. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, especially Marci and Derrick.
Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Dr. Walk through Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Masks and social distancing are required. Due to Covid19 the family asks that you attend only if you feel comfortable doing so.
