Joseph P. Palmero

Joseph “Joe” Paul Palmero, 96, of Rockford, passed away on September 8, 2024. He was born on December 26, 1927, in Rockford, the son of Anthony and Mary (Arduino) Palmero. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Joe married Joan L. Bruneni on September 12, 1953, in Rockford, and she preceded him in death on August 29, 1979. He worked as an agent at Prudential Insurance Company, and retired after 35 years. Joe enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing, and traveling in his motor home. He was an avid Chicago Bears & Chicago Cubs fan. 

He is survived by his daughter, Jill Valentine; grandchildren, Brandon (Taylor), Jeff (Laura), Patricia, Holly, and Anthony; great grandchildren, Dominic and Zackary Valentine; sister, Claudia Ingardona; and former son-in-law, Ken Valentine. He is predeceased by his parents, Mary and Anthony Palmero; wife, Joan; and sons, Mark and David.
