Joseph "Joe" Thomas Bruscato

Joseph “Joe” Thomas Bruscato, 71, Rockford, passed away Sunday, November 8, 2020, in his home. He was born November 15, 1948, in Rockford, the son of Carl and Irene (LaRosa) Bruscato. Joe was a graduate of Boylan Catholic High School, class of 1966. Joe served in the Army stationed in Germany. He earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Illinois University and later he received his Master’s degree. Joe served as the director of Omni House Youth Services Bureau in Wheeling. He was a pharmaceutical representative for many years in the Chicago and Midwest area and then was in the western region of the US for many years. Joe was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. He was a member of St. Ambrogio Society, the Lombardi Club, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Club. A special part of Joe’s life was his continued friendship with “The Boys”. Joe was loved by many and his family was everything to him.
Survived by his brother, Angelo (Dianna) Bruscato and his sister, Carol (Bill) Shoulders, all of Rockford; his niece and nephews, Tom (Kristen) Bruscato, Carl (Stefania) Bruscato, and Stephanie (Jonathan) Tenconi; his great nieces and great nephews, Kayla, Ana, and Natalia Bruscato, Francesca, Jonathan and Dominic Tenconi; many loving cousins.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private graveside burial will be held in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A celebration of Joe’s life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1010 Ferguson St. Rockford, 61102, Corpus Christi Monastery of the Poor Clares, 2111 S. Main St. Rockford, 61102, or to the family.
