Joseph F. FabianoLoving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother Joseph F. Fabiano, 86, a lifelong resident of Rockford, was given eternal rest with the Lord on February 2, 2010 in his home surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was born December 2, 1923 in Rockford the son of Domenic and Jennie (Cassaro) Fabiano. Joseph married Frances T. Chi-Chi Scibona on September 9, 1950 at St. Anthony of Padua in Rockford. Joseph graduated from West High School in 1941 and worked as a foreman and plant supervisor of manufacturing at Metal Cutting Tools for 44 years until retiring in 1986. He was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, Holy Name Society at St. Anthony of Padua, the Verde Club, and enjoyed singing with the Italian Choral Group. Joseph loved gardening, fishing, hunting, taking walks, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Joseph is survived by his wife, Chi-Chi; children, Linda (Don) Alfano, Peter Fabiano, David (Judy) Fabiano, and John (Barbara) Fabiano; grandchildren, Lisa (Jason) Osborne, and Christopher and Steven Alfano, Andrea and Michael Fabiano, Sarah (Mark) Wirtz, and Jessica and Nicole Fabiano, and Bradley Fabiano; brother, Anthony (Marisa) Fabiano, sisters-in-law, Maria Fabiano, Marie Rotolo, Josephine Scibona, Rose Crapanzano, Lena Marinelli, Joan Scibona; brothers-inlaw, Peter Scibona and Robert Wenger; daughter-in-law, Debbie Fabiano, and many close friends. Joseph was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Sarah Locarno, Mary Militello, and Marie Oliver; and brothers, Nicholas Fabiano and Sgt. Peter R. Fabiano. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave. followed by burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the church on Saturday at 10:45 A.M.Visitation will be held on Friday from 5 -8 P.M. with a wake service at 7 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
