Joseph "Douglas" Holaway, 52, of Rockford went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born July 30, 1958 in Rockford, son of Joseph E. and Rose Holaway. Doug attended Nashold, Morris, Kennedy, Jefferson and Graduated from Rockford Lutheran High School. He married his high school sweetheart Debbie L. Ellis in 1985. He was employed at Greenlee Bros. Co. for 11 years, UNI-SIG for 5 years and plant manager at RAK Rehnberg until 2001. He retired from Circle Boring and Machine after 6 years of employment. Doug was an avid WWII, Viet-Nam Military Re-Enactor and collector. He was an honorary member of Viet-Now, a member of the World War Two Historical Reenactment Society and a member of the EAA Warbirds of America. Survivors include his wife Debbie, father-in-law, Dan Ellis, two brother-in-laws Doug, Wayne Ellis and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Spencer; father, Joseph E. and brother, Ronald. Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 pm Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
