Rockford—Joseph A.Fallon Jr., 90 of Rockford died Monday morning , May 4, 2015 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a short illness. Born October 6, 1924 in Lawrence MA to Joseph A. and Mary Ellen Fallon nee Bodkin. Married Margaret Mary Paulsen on December 26, 1950 in Jackson Heights, Long Island, New York. Joseph worked in Sales after serving in the US Navy during WWII in Guam and attending Boston University and Emerson College.
Survivors; Wife of 65 years, Margaret (Peg) Fallon; Children, Christopher (Caroline), Stephen (Nora), James (Mary), MaryKay, John (Karen), Daniel (Keila), Nora (Mark) Heninger; 25 grandchildren and 6 great-Grandchildren; Son-in-law Mark Chambers. Predeceased by his 2 children Kevin and Eileen.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Mary’s Oratory 517 Elm Street, Rockford, Illinois 61109 with Rev. Canon Brian Bovee officiating. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation Friday, May 8, 2015 from 4-6 pm at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, Illinois, 61108.
