Jose A. Iglesias

Jose A. Iglesias, 73, of Rockford passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born April 17, 1941, in Cuba, the son of Manuel and Ana Rosa (Pacheco) Iglesias. He married Elena Banuelos after they met in Rockford; they were married for 47 years. They renewed their vows in 1995 in Spain. Jose worked at Chrysler as an assembler for 33 years. He was a member of the Cathedral of St. Peter. Jose was a loving and caring husband, father and papa. He will be greatly missed.
Survived by his wife, Elena; sons, Enrique (Isaura Marquez) and Mauricio (Melonie) Pichardo; daughters, Ana Luisa (Daniel) Iglesias-Masters and Norka Iglesias; grandchildren, Julio, Yoel, Eros and Brandon Iglesias, Natalia and Nicholas Masters, Ony (Stormy) Marco and Isabel Pichardo; great-grandchildren, Nathan Iglesias and Miko Pichardo; numerous siblings, nieces and nephews.

Memorial mass will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2014 at the Cathedral of St. Peter. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Friday at the church.
