Jon C. Blaha

Jon C. Blaha, 59, of Rockford, died on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 in his home, with his loving wife Candace, and his best friend Jeff Starr, by his side. He was born on December 22, 1955, son of Richard and Eleanor (Johnson) Blaha. Jon married his wife, in Chicago, IL, on September 7, 1990. He was a graduate of Guilford High School, and spent many years employed at Columbia Audio Video. Jon and Candace spent a number of years in Palm Harbor, FL; where they owned Audio Video Odyssey Inc. A celebration of Jon’s life will be 1:00 pm, Saturday, February 21, 2015, at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the American Cancer Society or Noah’s Ark Animal Sanctuary, 111 North 1st. Street, Rockford, IL, 61107. Funeral arrangements are being cared for by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel.
