John P. Tremulis

John P. Tremulis, 89, of Machesney Park, IL passed away at his home on Friday, January 6, 2023. He was born September 26, 1933 in Rockford, IL the son of Mike and Helen (Sheetz) Tremulis. John attended Rockford East High School, graduating in 1951. He went on to Northern Illinois University and proudly served his country in the United States Army. John married the love of his life, Theresa Cicero on February 1, 1958. They had three children of whom he was very proud. John was in the automotive business for many years. He owned and operated John and Paul’s Automotive until his retirement. He was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. John will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

John is survived by his wife, Theresa; daughter, Christine (Kirk Constantine) Reece of Portland, OR; son, Paul (Kim) Tremulis of Naples, FL; grandchildren, Emily (Andy) Strom, Lindsey (Mike) Rubino, Adrian Tremulis, Julian (Amy) Tremulis; 8 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Marie (Bill) Wood; brothers-in-law, Frank (Joyce) Cicero and Phil (Louise) Cicero; several nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his parents; and son, Michael Tremulis. 

The family would like to thank the staff at Northern Illinois Hospice and friend and caregiver Sue for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice, 4751 Harrison Ave, Rockford, IL 61108. Services will be private. Cremation rites entrusted with Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory.
