John J. McKillip, 71 of Rockford died Thursday, March 6, 2014 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born December 30, 1942 in Oak Park, IL the son of Walter and Bernice McKillip. He was a United States Marine. John was a press designer and worked side by side with his wife for 11 years who owned Integrated Label Corporation. He loved his business, inventions, and was well known as a "thinker". He married his loving wife Maria Kuchta on February 24, 1999. He was a kind and caring man who loved his wife and daughter dearly. He was the best friend to Monika, David, and Marta. He will be greatly missed. Survivors include his wife, Maria of Rockford; daughter, Malessa also of Rockford; sisters, Donna Parker of Gold Canyon, AZ and Janet Main of Downers Grove; brother, Steven McKillip of Fort Meyers, FL, and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Bernice McKillip, and sister, Bernice Stroller.
Funeral Mass Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 201 Buckbee St. Rockford. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10 from 5-7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., with a rosary service to be recited at 6:30 p.m. A private graveside service will be held in Arlington Memorial Park.
