John G. Kline

John Gust Kline, 73, of So. Beloit, met his Savior and Lord on Saturday, December 4, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born August 24, 1937 in Rockford; son of Warren and Romona Kline. He married Levon Lindstrom on Thanksgiving Day in 1977 at 1 st Evangelical Free Church. Graduated from East High School and attended North Park College. John was so proud of his Swedish Heritage and Country. He served in the Army Reserves as a Staff Sergeant. He had a special place in his heart for Israel and Alaska Christian College in Soldotna, Alaska. Member of Hope Evangelical Free Church in Roscoe where he was on the missions board and also assistant treasurer. Employed at Amerock and Megarian Financial Services in Milwaukee, WI. John supported different missions and ministries and loved and cared for his family.
Survived by his wife of 33years, Levon; children, Janis Kline of Mindoro, WI, Jerry (Barb) Kline of Nekoosa, WI, John (Dana) Kline of Pecatonica and Jacquelyn (Peter) Hughes of Rockton; step-children, Sheila (Merrill) Mihm of Rockford, Mike (Lisa) Lindstrom of Rockton and Sherry (Trudane) Peterson of So. Beloit; brothers, Tom (Janise) Kline of Roscoe and Ted (Pat) Kline of So. Beloit; 18 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins and very special friends, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents.

Memorial Service will be held at 12:00pm on Friday, December 10 at Hope Evangelical Free Church 5656 Elevator Road Roscoe, IL 61073. Burial will be held privately at Scandinavian Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 9 from 6:00 - 8:00p.m at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford ILnbsp; 61108 and also from 10:30 until time of service on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
