John E. Reid

John E. Reid, 77, of Rockford passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016 in Rosewood Care Center. Born July 7, 1938, in Thomasville, Georgia, the son of Eddie Reid and Grace Anderson. He worked for Chrysler for 30 years, retiring on October 31, 1996.
Survived by his children, John Eddie (Denise) Jr. Reid, Tina Reid, Stephanie Reid-Smith and Darrell (Lisa) Reid; their mother, Elizabeth Reid; grandchildren, Ebony Hunter, Brandy Reid, Tasha Hunter, Amber (Michael) Clue, Desiree Smith, Angelica Reid and Precious Hunter; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Jewel Davis, Lynda Flint, Marcia Rene Leon and Dorice Leon; special friend, Mary McGee.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
