John D. Taylor

John Jack D. Taylor, 90, of Rockford, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007. Born August 23, 1917, in Rockford, the son of John O. and Inez Davis Taylor. He graduated from Rockford Central High School class of 1936. Jack worked for many years as a wood pattern maker for Taylor Pattern Works, a shop his grandfather founded in 1900. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Jack is survived by his daughter, Susan (Chuck) Gustafson; son, Joel (Ann) Taylor; grandchildren, Erin (Don Berry) Taylor, Patrick and Megan Taylor, Katie Gustafson and Libby White; great-granddaughter, Eliza Taylor-Berry; sisters, Mary Jane Jurca of Parma, OH., and Carole Flanik of Cleveland Heights, OH., and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Lisa White. At Jacks request funeral services and burial will be private.
