Joe Renteria

Joe Renteria, 80, of Rockford, died at 11:19 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008. Born March 13, 1928 in Rockford the son of Frank and Nellie (Godoy) Renteria. Married Esther Martinez in Rockford on June 21, 1947. He worked for Sundstrand Corporation for more than 35 years. He was a member of local Union No.592. Joe enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his loving wife Esther; son, Salvador (Linda) Renteria of Rockford; daughters, Gloria Eutsler of Indianapolis, IN and Anita (William) Steffani of Rockford; grandson, William (Jen) Steffani; great-grandchildren, Jordan, Bailey, Samantha, and Jacob Steffani. Predeceased by his parents.   Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 2505 School St., with the Rev. Ricardo Hernandez officiating. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2008, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., with a rosary recited at 6:30 p.m. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. To
