Joanne M. Zingrich

Joanne Marie Zingrich, age 93, of Rockford, IL passed away on Wednesday, July 12, 2023.

Joanne was born in Brodhead, WI on February 20, 1930, daughter of Frederick and Helen (Kundert) Stoll. She married Alfred Zingrich Jr. on September 30, 1950. He passed away on January 4, 1981. Joanne moved to Rockford in 1956 and worked for the Rockford Clinic for over 30 years and later volunteered her time with Rockford Memorial Hospital thrift store, after her retirement. She was a lifelong member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.

Joanne was an avid golfer, enjoyed knitting and crocheting in her free time. She was a proud member of her bridge club that met once a month to play cards. Most of all, Joanne cherished her time spent with family, especially her dear grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.

Surviving relatives include her daughter, Kathy (Tom) Baker of Necedah, WI; grandchildren, Chad (Jessica) Baker, Jacob (Hadley) Baker and Sean Zingrich; great-grandchildren, Jacob, Kaiden, Louisa and Hannie as well as several nieces and nephews. Joanne is predeceased by her husband, Alfred Zingrich and her son, John Zingrich.

Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 17, 2023, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave. Rockford, IL 61103. Visitation will be in the parish hall from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will conclude in Greenwood Cemetery, Brodhead, WI.
