Joanne L. Columbia

Joanne L. Columbia, 87, of Rockford, passed away September 28, 2017 at Wesley Willows Health Center. Born March 20, 1930 in Pittsburg, PA, the daughter of John & Helen (Chappell) Love. Married to former Robert Warren Columbia in McDonald, PA on March 21, 1952. Moved to Rockford since 1962, coming here from McDonald, PA. She worked for 1st National Bank in McDonald for 14 years. Later, Joanne worked for 16 years for First National Bank of Rockford as an Executive Assistant. Member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include sisters in law, Nila Mae (Wayne) Scott and Marlene Columbia; nieces Pamela Falkenberg and Kimberly Scott Oglietti; nephews Greg Columbia, and Wayne Keith Scott. Predeceased by husband, parents, brothers in law, Emil Falkenberg, and William “Bill” (Marlene) Columbia, sister in law, Ruth Falkenberg; niece Paula Leiner and nephew Bobby Columbia.
Services will be private. Special thanks to the caring staff at Wesley Willows for her final few years.
