Joan Licari

Joan Licari passed away on March 23, 2023, after a brief illness, surrounded by her family. Joan was predeceased by her beloved husband of 65 years, Joseph William Licari, who recently passed on November 14, 2022.

Joan was the proud mother of four children. Joan’s greatest love was her family, as reflected in the care she received from her children.

Joan was much loved by her children, Mary Frances Licari, Frank Licari, George (Ann) Licari and Cathy (Rod) Laisure. Her grandchildren, Michael (Andrea) Licari, Mary Rose Licari, Joey Licari, Drew Licari and Joseph Laisure. Her beloved brother, George (Virginia) Biavati, sisters-in-law, Carmella Zammuto, Therese Ingrassia and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joan is predeceased by her husband, parents, sister-in-law, Rosemary Nicolosi, brothers-in-law, Philip Nicolosi and Peter Zammuto, and nephew Deacon Frank Zammuto.

Visitation honoring Joan will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2023, 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd., Rockford, IL. Funeral Mass will immediately follow the visitation. Burial at Greenwood Cemetery.

Joan was dedicated to the devotions of the Poor Clares. Her family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Poor Clares of Corpus Christi Monastery, 2111 S Main St., Rockford, IL 61102.
