Joan A. (White) Vesely

Joan A. (White) Vesely, 75, lifelong Rockford resident, died peacefully of Alzheimers Disease at noon on Sunday, April 6, 2008 in her home. Born July 27, 1932, daughter of Arthur J. and Lena Cannova White. Graduated from West High School in 1950. Married James F.Jim Vesely in St. Bridget Catholic Church on June 19, 1954. Employed as a Merchandise Demonstrator for numerous products for over 30 years. Joan was always the life of the party and she and Jim were the first on and last off the dance floor. Survivors include her children, Bill (Cindy) Vesely, Rockford, Mike Vesely (Nancy Clemens), Santa Cruz, CA, Steve (Brenda) Vesely, Rockford and Rebecca Collier (James Wilson) Rockford; grandchildren, Lance (Shelby) Vesely, Erin Vesely, Bobby Vesely (Stephanie Moe) and Reva Collier. Also survived by her brother Chuck (Mary Lou) White, Green Bay, WI. nieces, nephews and many dear friends. Predeceased by her husband, Jim, on May 19, 2007 and her parents. A Funeral Mass will be said at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2008 in St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Rev. William R. Wentink officiating. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with a Christian Wake Service to be at 6:30 p.m. Visitation also from 9:00 a.m. until time of the Mass at the church on Saturday.
