Jo Ann L. Wolfley

Jo Ann L. Wolfley, 77, of Rockford died on September 20, 2008 in Provena St. Anne Center.  Jo Ann was born October 25, 1930 in Cairo, Il the daughter of Roy Armstrong and Mary Anderson.  Jo Ann married Richard F. Wolfley on October 14, 1967 in Rockford.   Jo Ann received her Bachelors Degree in Education from Indiana Univesity and was a former teacher with the Harlem School District.  She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, former member at St. Peter Cathedral, very supportive of St. Patricks Food Pantry, a former member and current supporter of Kappa Kappa Gamma and always helped collect money for the American Heart Association.  Jo Ann loved golfing and was a member of the Rockford Country Club.  She was a world traveler, enjoyed gardening, cooking and reading.   Jo Ann is survived by her son, Michael Babbitt; her step-sons, David (Gena) Wolfley and Peter Wolfley; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild and many friends.  She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Richard (Aug.31, 2001) and her sister Marilyn Andersen.   A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 10 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rev. William Collins officiating.  Burial will be private. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2008 from 5 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Northern Illinois Hospice and Grief Center, 4215 Newburg Rd., Rockford, IL 61108.  Family and friends may
