Jimmy "Jim" T. Haggerty

Jimmy “Jim” T. Haggerty, 78, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018, peacefully in the loving care of his family at home. Born July 28, 1940 in Rockford; he was the son of J. Paul and Romona (Cleary) Haggerty.
Jim is remembered as the CEO of Promogear, Inc. and alumni of Rockford University.
Jim enjoyed cars, camping, the Chicago Cubs, the color blue, spending time at his trailer and time with his family, especially babies.
He is survived by his children, Nikki (Brad) Richardson, Steve Haggerty, John David (Bonnie) Boerema, Mary (Ted) Boerema and Sara Boerema; and his sister, Mary Colette (Doug) Selander. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, Erin, Nicholas, Carrie, Cassie, Sara, Brandon, Brad, Katie, Jon and Kayla; 4 great-grandchildren, Kamari, Austyn, Spencer and Aiden. He is fondly remembered by his close friends, Chuck Cocoma, John Cocoma and Pat Stroup.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 at
St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Avenue, Rockford. Visitation 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday, August 12 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Avenue, Riverside Chapel, Rockford. Visitation will continue 9 a.m. Monday, August 13, 2018 until time of service at the church. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Winnebago.
