Jerry J. Bonacorsi

Jerry J. Bonacorsi, 73, of Belvidere, died peacefully on Saturday, January 7, 2023 in his home. Born August 27, 1949 in Rockford, son of Joseph and Rose Pellegrini Bonacorsi. Graduated from East High School in 1967 and from Tri-State University in 1972 where he also did advanced studies. Married Sandra Citta on August 25, 1973. He began his engineering career with Rockford Products and following that he spent 20 years at Atwood Mobile Products. He retired in 2017 as Vice President of Operations from Suburban Manufacturing located in Dayton, TN. During their time in Dayton, Jerry and Sandra enjoyed the many friendships they built and the special beauty of the scenic mountains. Jerry appreciated nature and loved being outdoors, especially fishing. He was a wonderful and supportive husband, father and grandfather. Time spent with his grandchildren doing homework, supplying snacks, naming the fishing worms as well as many other projects they did together were very special times for him. He always loved to tease them by stealing their food off their plates. Jerry loved the friendships that he and Sandra had with the monthly card club that has been together for many years.

Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Sandra; children, Traci Bonacorsi and Chad (Stacey) Bonacorsi; grandchildren, Isabella and Cameron Bonacorsi; sister, Linda Sessler and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Predeceased by his parents and brother-in-law, Keith Sessler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with a visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
