Jerome Sprecher, 63 of Rockford died at 4:30 am February 21, 2007 at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born March 8, 1943, the son of Clifford and Ramona Sprecher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Jerome was a member of Shirland United Methodist Church for a number of years. While in high school, Jerome played football for Hononegah High in Rockton, Illinois. He enjoyed traveling, collecting art and he loved life. Suvivors include his beloved wife Cecilia Ceci (Codog) Sprecher and faithful companion Buddy Boy. Uncle Edwin Junior Sprecher and Aunt Helen Palmer. He was also survived by many beloved cousins. Special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses, Phlebotomy Department and Oncology Department at Rockford Memorial Hospital. Funeral will be Saturday, Feb 25, 2007 in Shirland United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Shirland Township Cemetery. Visitation from 5-7 Friday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, and from 10 until time of service in the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Poor Clares Corpus Christi Monastery, 2111 S. Main or the Shirland United Methodist Church.
