Jerome M. Mitchell

Jerome M. Mitchell, 75, Rockford, died at 11:30m a.m. Tuesday, July 31, 2012 in Amberwood Care Center. Born April 7, 1937 in Chicago, son of Maurice and Christine (Welter) Mitchell. Veteran of the US Army and former member of the Cathedral of St. Peter. He was employed by Sjostrom & Sons Construction Company for many years. Survivors include his sisterinlaw, Dorothy Mitchell, Prospect Heights. Predeceased by his parents and brothers, Thomas and Warren Mitchell.Private services will be held with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Hayward, WI. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Passages Hospice, 929 S. Alpine Road, Rockford, IL 61108. The family was assisted by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd.
