Jerome M. "Jerry" Pixler

Jerome "Jerry" M. Pixler died peacefully on November 16, 2021. Born February 21, 1934 in Rockford, IL. Son of Thomas and Dorma (Hutchinson) Pixler. Married in Belvidere, IL in 1955 to the love of his life, Val. Graduated from West High School. Jerry started working for Coca Cola in his early years and become a salesman for Allied Kelite and Viking Chemical. Survived by his children, Rick (Lisa) Pixler, Stacie Almond and adopted grandson Aaron (Rebecca) Pixler. Predeceased by his loving wife Val and son Steve, and brother, Tommy. Also survived brother, Glen (Carolyn) Pixler; sister, Ruth Boreham, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, nieces and nephews. Jerry loved wine making, golf, winning contests and spending time with his family. He could win anybody over with his wry smile and bright blue eyes.

The family would like to thank OSF Hospice and Visiting Angels Elsia, Brianna, Synthia and Karen for all the extra loving care and support they provided.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 23 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford IL 61108.
