Jerome “Jerry” J. Lupo 80, of Belvidere, passed away February 7, 2021. He was born on July 12, 1940, in Chicago, IL to James and Helen (Hall) Lupo.
Jerry graduated from Austin High School in Chicago, IL. When he was young, he enjoyed participating in dance contests. He married the love of his life Roseann Sanphilipo and they began their family. He proudly worked at Jewel-Osco for over 35 years as a produce manager. Jerry was a handyman, always working on projects around the house. He was also a big movie buff, and enjoyed a large DVD collection of westerns and Hallmark movies.
Jerry is survived by his daughters, Deborah (Casey) Kolodziejczyk, Lynn (Michael) Winfield and Cynthia Lupo; grandchildren, Ashley (Trever) Thomas, Angelica Winfield, Kristina Kolodziejczyk and Casey Kolodziejczyk and sister, Laurie (Ed) Schmall. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Roseann.
Jerry’s family extends a special thank you to Dominic and Franny at Valli Produce in Loves Park, where he enjoyed working as a grocery bagger.
