Jereline Jean Tanner, 70, Rockford, died at 11:17 a.m. Tuesday, Januarynbsp; 17, 2012 in Rockford Memorial Hospital.nbsp; Born February 28, 1941nbsp; in Chidester, AR, daughter of Ollie Yarbrough and Mattie Pearl Tatom Yarbrough.nbsp; Graduate of Camden, AR High School.nbsp; Was previously married to Purvis Tanner, Jr.nbsp; She was a member of the South Congregation of Jehovahs Wittnesses. Jean was a woman of great integrity who always spoke with honesty.nbsp; She was a wonderful cook, an avid reader and had an appreciation for music with a beautiful singing voice.

Survivors include her children, Kathryn Tanner, Katy, TX, Sharon Tanner, New York City, Stephanie (Patricia Patterson) Tanner, Rockford, Purvis Tanner III, Rockford and Tabitha (Robert) Tanner Manning, Houston, TX; 10 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren and sister, Gladys Marie Pittman.nbsp; Predeceased by her parents and sister, Shirley Smith.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2012 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with a time of visitation from 2 p.m. until the service.nbsp; In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be determined at a later date.
