Jennifer Renee Jones

Jennifer Renee Jones, 20, of Rockford, IL passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017. She was born on September 25, 1996, in Federal Way, WA. She graduated from East High School in 2015. She attended Tallahassee Community College and was transferring to Florida State University next semester to complete a degree in Criminology with aspirations of becoming a detective. Jennifer was a free spirited girl with a heart of gold, who never missed an opportunity for an adventure or a new experience. She felt most at home surrounded by her family and friends. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and niece. Her fearless love of life inspired those around her and many took pride in calling Jennifer their best friend. Jennifer was a beautiful soul, who will be missed by all who were blessed to have known her.

She is survived by her mother, Donna Powney; her siblings, Fabian Powney, Jared Jones, Christen Powney, Lisa (Matthew) Reum, and Stacy (Matthew) Wlodarski; her nieces and nephews, Amiyah, Abigail, Peyton, Austin, Paxton, and Westley; her aunt Denise Niner; her uncles Christopher McKlem, James McKlem, and Joseph (Kerry) McKlem; her cousins, Marie Niner, Kenny (Marissa) Niner, and their children, Kye, Kaylynn, and Kaydence; her cherished baby puppy, Nolan, and kitten, Milo; and many wonderful friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, and will continue on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
