Jennie T. Masterson

Jennie Teresa Masterson, 74, of Rockford, passed away May 6, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born on October 27, 1941 in Wickford, Essex, England, the daughter of Daniel and Jean (Keohone) Connolly. On June 12, 1965, she married the love of her life, John “Jack” Masterson. The two relocated to Rockford, IL in 1967, where they raised their two daughters. Jennie was a stay at home mother until her children were in middle school, then she began a successful career in jewelry sales. She was a selfless woman who enjoyed volunteering for various organizations, and was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed dancing, knitting, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Jack; her daughters Tracy Masterson and Tricia (Mike) Rotolo; her grandchildren, Jacob, Erin, Ally, Peyton, and Amber; numerous family members overseas and many wonderful friends. Predeceased by her parents and several siblings.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 4401 Highcrest Rd Rockford. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association appreciated.
