Jeffrey W. "Jeff" McCarty, 42Loving Son and Brother Jeffrey W. "Jeff" McCarty, 42, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, May 15, 2010, in Byron from injuries sustained following a motorcycle accident. Born August 7, 1967 in Broken Bow, Nebraska; the son of Lawrence and Frances (Alexander) McCarty. Jeff was a mechanic for United Airlines. He was a member of the Navy Club and American Legion, Robert Carlson Post No.1207. Jeff loved to ride his Harley, enjoyed snowmobiling, and was a die hard Nebraska Cornhusker fan.Survivors include his parents, Larry & Fran; siblings, Brian (Miyuki) McCarty, Annette (fianca©, Alan Behselich) Todd, Douglass (Martha) McCarty and Teresa McCarty; nieces and nephews, Andrew, Raymond and Michelle McCarty, Rachel, Braci, Jasmine, Alex and Patrick McCarty, Paul and Austin Todd, many aunts, uncles and Nate Muehl, who was like a son to Jeff.Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00a.m., on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at St. James Catholic Church with Father Dean E. Russell officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8;m Wednesday at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL.
