Jeanette M. Van Den Broeke

Jeanette M. Van Den Broeke, 94, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Independence Village in Rockford, Illinois. She was born on July 16, 1930, in Owatonna, Minnesota, daughter to Howard Arthur and Minna Augusta (Krampitz) Stickley. She went on to marry E. Donald Van Den Broeke in Owatonna on November 29, 1952. Shortly after they moved to Freeport and enjoyed 67 years of marriage before his passing in August of 2020. Jeanette enjoyed selling Avon products for 19 years and was very active with St. Bridget Catholic Church. She was a part of the choir for over 20 years, was a member of the Blessed Sacrament Sodality, and very active in the Spirit of Medjugorje prayer group from 1989 to 2004.

She will be missed by her son Daniel (Mary) Van Den Broeke; her grandson Matthew (Cynthia) Van Den Broeke; great grandchildren Rebekah, Bethany, and Nathan; her brother Myron (Betty Ann) Stickley and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; infant son Stephen Joel; siblings Betty Grandmason, Carole (Alvin) Borchert and Gary Stickley.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass, 11:00 a.m. at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111.
