Jeanette A. Hoffstrom

Jeanette "Jan" A. Hoffstrom, 79, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in her home. Born January 15, 1933 in Rockford; daughter of Richard and Dolores (Shanebrook) Gustafson. Married Roger Hoffstrom on September 2, 1959. Jan graduate in 1951 from East High School. She was employed by Twin Disc Clutch as a secretary and also at J.C. Penney in the credit department. Member of Creekwood Baptist Church. Jan enjoyed movies, bingo and entertaining.Survivors include her children, Julie Sundberg (Jan) of North Aurora and Kevin (Sue) Hoffstrom of Rockford; grandson, Shaun Hoffstrom; brotherinlaw and sisterinlaw, Wayne (Elaine) Hoffstrom; cousin, Gwen; brotherinlaw, Milton Zimmerman; nieces, Pam, Heidi and Rayne; nephew, Curt; best friend Ruby Gilmour; and her church family. Predeceased by her parents; husband and sister, Patricia Zimmerman.Funeral service will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Creekwood Baptist Church, 7281 Olde Creek Rd. Rockford IL 61114 with Pastor Darren Loeppky officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m until time of service Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the family.
