Jean E. Holden

Jean E. Holden, 94, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018. She was born April 26, 1923, in Rockford, Illinois, the daughter of Peter and Virginia Paris. Jean married the love of her life, Dean Holden, on March 31, 1951. Jean worked as a telephone operator for many years, most recently at Barber Colman. Jean loved to cook and bake, she also enjoyed knitting and tending to her garden. Above all, Jean will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend.
Survived by her children, Patricia Holden and Dean Patrick Holden; sisters Lena Hudgens and Mary Krukonis and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents; husband, Dean; brothers, Carl and Joe. The family would like to thank the devoted and caring staff of Hospice Care of America and Able Home Health.
Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel. Inurnment at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
