Jean A. Weller

Jean A. Weller, 77, Roscoe, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 23, 2009 after a long illness. Jean was born in Rockford on June 20, 1932, daughter of Ashford and Florence L. Roland Stover. Married Robert (Bud) Weller, Jr. on April 8, 1953 at Winnebago Street Methodist Church in Rockford. Jean was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church where she was the choir director for 19 years. She retired from J.C. Penney Outlet Mall in 2004 and had previously worked at Illinois National Bank for many years. Jean loved her family and her greatest passion in life was directing the church choir. The family wishes to thank Rosewood Care Center for the loving care she received while there. Survivors include her loving husband and best friend, Robert H. (Bud) Weller, Jr; sons, Dan (Patti) Weller, Loves Park, Richard (Judy) Weller, Iowa, Pete (Jan) Weller, Roscoe and Bob (Lonnie) Weller, Rockford; 3 granddaughters, 7 grandsons; 2 great grandsons and 1 great granddaughter. Also survived by her sister Virginia (Marshall) Jones, Rockford; sister-in-law, Betty Stover, Redondo Beach, CA. and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Ashford and Florence Stover and her brother, James Stover. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2009 in Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. George E. David officiating. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church on Monday. Cremation rites have been accorded. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
