Jean A. (Myers) Sicotte, 103, Loves Park, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2025. She was born on November 30, 1921, the daughter of Pearl and Wyonna (Delashmutt) Myers. Jean was from Iowa and lived in Rockford for most of her adult life. She married George Sicotte on October 4, 1962, in Belvidere.
She was a member of St. Bridget Catholic Church. She worked at Giant Photo and Greater Rockford Auto Auction until her retirement.
Jean survived by her children, Jim Clark and Linda (Gene Nelson) Paton; her 5 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild on the way; her daughter-in-law, Christina Sicotte; and many nieces and nephews; she is preceded by her husband, George; her son, Tom Sicotte; her parents; her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Nicholas Clark; and her 7 brothers and 3 sisters.
The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers at OSF Hospice. Special thanks to her niece Robin, sister-in-law Dora and her granddaughter, Cara (Sicotte) Vowles.
A Memorial Service for Jean will take place on Friday, February 21, 2025, at 3:30 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road, Rockford, IL 61108. A visitation will take place from 2:00 until the time of Rosary service at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025. A burial will take place at a later date at St. Mary/St. James Cemetery in Rockford.
